Smile your troubles away!

What if a smile could make all your troubles go away? What if something as simple as a smile could help to change your attitude for the positive? Would you smile more? Research shows that smiling can make a difference in how we feel. Our mind wants to be congruent with our actions. When we smile, our mind thinks we are happy. This feeling of happiness can be a much-needed break, giving us a new positive perspective, helping to change a bad day to a sunny day.

So, start your day off right by putting on a smile. Place a reminder on your phone or on your desk reminding you to smile more often. Soon, smiling will be your go to expression.

The opposite is also true. When you frown your mind thinks you are sad or angry. (As well as do the people who are near you) Pay attention to your expressions, you may find that you are unaware of how often you are frowning throughout the day. When you catch yourself frowning switch it up by replacing it with a smile.

Smiling can seem to be a simple act but, this simple act can have a powerful impact on your emotions. So, place a smile on your face and just maybe it will help smile your troubles away.
