Feeling Groovy:

One of the best ways to feel groovy is to not be sick! Easier said than done, right? Here are a few tips to help keep those nasty germs and viruses at bay:

  • Wash your hands often. Germs and viruses often enter your system through touch. wash your hands through out the day. Don’t touch your mouth, nose or eyes. If you need to touch your face, use a tissue.
  • Drink plenty of clean water. Water helps your body rid it’s self of toxins and waste. This helps to relieve undo stress on your body allowing it to heal. The best water to drink is spring water stored in glass. If you like, you can add some lemon to it.
  • Get plenty of sleep. Deep sleep is when your body heals from the day. If you are not allowing your body time to heal each evening, toxins will build up and this can manifest as disease.
  • Consider using an essential oil such as oregano. Just a couple drops mixed with coconut oil on the souls of your feet before you go to bed will do the trick. This powerful medicinal ally, is anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory. Use oregano oil to treat fungal infections, intestinal parasites and more.
  • Boost your immunity with some great herbs, fungi, and roots. These adaptogens and super-foods help to strengthen your body’s immunity- Echinacea, Ashwaganda, chaga, rieshi, rhodiola, Astragalus, and some good old vitamin C. Just add a few drops to your water.
  • Drink your lemon, apple cider vinegar, cayenne, and water (Magic Tonic- found in book 2)
  • Use a Neti Pot. Rinsing your nasal cavity with warm saline (salt water) reduces foreign particles and has been shown to reduce the amount of times you become ill.
